Introduction

Use the links below to explore ergonomics. Hone in on areas that reflect your interests, and those important questions you may have about the topic. It might be that the first question that really interests you is 'why should I care about ergonomics??'. If that is the case move straight to the topic area 'When the keys are left on the sideboard!’. Maybe you are using this hotlist because your lecturer sent you on a webquest or concept builder and you needed more background information – you are in the right place! If you are just trying to get your head around what ergonomics is all about then this is a great place to do that as well.

The Web will offer some unique resources that might not be available anywhere else so dig deep and see what you find. Many of the resources listed under each of the topic areas could easily fit under another. Many of the pages offered are HUGE and you may want to do a little feral searching that has nothing to do with the sub heading of that group. Enjoy the sites, have fun going on serendipitous and fun adventures, you will still learn something about ergonomics and begin to uncover your own questions that interest YOU. If you want some idea of what good exploring looks like, read the evaluation rubric.

Conclusion

Because anyone can publish on the Web, it sometimes reflects the chaotic, uneven, sometimes confusing world around us. By exploring the Web, you've journeyed into real learning where you must judge between fact and opinion, bias and insight, importance and insignificance. We hope you've added to the wisdom carried around in that head of yours. If you want to check yourself, take a look at the evaluation rubric for this activity. Either way, remember that understanding isn't a destination, but a journey. Have a great trip!
