Why I Teach

I have always wanted to teach . I cannot think of a time in my childhood even when I did not think this. I have broadened my fields and have bookkeeping and floristry as a back up but never used these skills full time

The Obligatory Bio

I have been a teacher for 36 years and still going. I enjoy the challenge of inspiring children to become self motivated learners. All my computer skills have been learnt on the run , so to speak. At the moment I an a teacher librarian who has to be able to trouble shoot in the computer lab. that is adjacent to the library. I am interested in trying to develop ICT and information literacy across the 8 key learning areas. In doing so I hope to motivate staff to design their own online learning activities.

I enjoy reading and spend my spare time reviewing young adult books for Fiction Focus. I have a passion for gardening but never seem to have the spare cash to indulge my passion.
